GRAPHICS KIT INSTALLATION
IMPORTANT, NEW BIKE and NEW PLASTIC OWNERS NOTE : New plastic has a transparent mold release residue which must be cleaned off before decal installation. We recommend you DO NOT USE WATER. Tools needed : squeegee, soft cloth, scissors.
Thoroughly clean your plastics tank, shroud, etc., removing all old adhesive, dirt, lint, oils, etc. Rinse with plain water and dry with lint-free cloth.
Before removing decal backing, hold the decals up to your thank/shroud to get a general idea of how the line-up should look.
Wrap a soft, lint-free cloth around your squeegee. A credit card makes a good squeegee.
Remove the backing from shroud decal.
Lightly set shroud decal onto plastic shroud and make sure all bolt holes, vent holes, etc, are lined up properly. Start at one end of decal and squeegee out air all the way to other end of decal.
Remove one corner of tank decal backing approximately 2 inches and cut off with scissors. Line tank decal up to the shroud graphics as well as tank shape and lightly tack down the corner with exposed adhesive. Peel away tank decal backing and squeegee decal down as you go.
We recommend that you do NOT ride your bike for at least 12 hrs. after the decals are completely installed. Use heat to speed up drying but be careful. Plan ahead and do your installation a couple days before going riding.
